چکیده

Nowadays, natural microbial pigments are emerging as potential candidate therapeutic agents that can be used in antibiotic resistance. In this paper, we report the antimicrobial activity of green algae pigments. Green SC3 isolate was isolated from soil Erzurum. Pigments extracted by methanol: dimethyl sulfoxide solvents were partially characterized Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), UV-Absorbance, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The determined with agar well diffusion microbroth assays against Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 27853 clinic isolate), Staphylococcus aureus 25923) Escherichia coli 25922). To identify algae, total DNA both 18S rRNA 16S for chloroplast genome amplified using universal primers. Thus, alga identified Auxenochlorella protothecoides submitted to Genbank (Accession number: MW139225 MW063613). According our results, best recorded P. aeruginosa. Our results show first time A. algae.

Antimicrobial activity of PLUNC protects against Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection.

Epithelial antimicrobial activity may protect the lung against inhaled pathogens. The bactericidal/permeability-increasing protein family has demonstrated antimicrobial activity in vitro. PLUNC (palate, lung, and nasal epithelium associated) is a 25-kDa secreted protein that shares homology with bactericidal/permeability-increasing proteins and is expressed in nasopharyngeal and respiratory epi...

Antimicrobial Resistance Profile of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Strains

Abstract Background and Objectives: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the most common organism, which is separated from the burn infections.  Due to increased antibiotic resistance, there are many problems to deal with the infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This study aimed to determine the resistance to antibiotics against clinical isolates of Pseudomonas using phenotype me...

antimicrobial activity of different lactobacillus species against multi-drug resistant clinical isolates of pseudomonas aeruginosa

background : lactobacilli are the well known friendly bacteria for their probiotic activities against pathogens. the inhibitory activity of different strains of lactobacilli either obtained as commercial products or isolated from human feces was investigated against the clinical isolates of pseudomonas aeruginosa. the isolates were selected as the most resistant strains when challenged with ant...

Enhancement of antimicrobial activity against pseudomonas aeruginosa by coadministration of G10KHc and tobramycin.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a common opportunistic human pathogen that is associated with life-threatening acute infections and chronic airway colonization during cystic fibrosis. Previously, we converted the wide-spectrum antimicrobial peptide novispirin G10 into a selectively-targeted antimicrobial peptide (STAMP), G10KHc. Compared to novispirin G10, the STAMP had an enhanced ability to kill Ps...
